This publication is a multidisciplinary and international journal that aims to publish original research, review articles, short reports and commentaries on reproductive health in Africa. The journal strives to provide a forum for African authors, as well as others working in Africa, to share findings on all aspects of reproductive health and aims to disseminate relevant and useful information on reproductive health throughout the continent of Africa. It was first published in 1997 and by 2005, was being published three times a year.
Topics covered include: reproductive health such as contraception, HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted infections, abortion, sexuality, infertility, menopause, and obstetrics. The abstracts, table of contents and information for authors are published in both English and French.
The intended audience of the journal is professionals, including physicians, public health workers, advanced practice clinicians (nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, and physician assistants), researchers, educators, social scientists, pharmacists, and others in the reproductive health field.
