Social norms action with informed and engaged societies
After nearly 28 years, The Communication Initiative (The CI) Global is entering a new chapter. Following a period of transition, the global website has been transferred to the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) in South Africa, where it will be administered by the Social and Behaviour Change Communication Division. Wits' commitment to social change and justice makes it a trusted steward for The CI's legacy and future.
 
Co-founder Victoria Martin is pleased to see this work continue under Wits' leadership. Victoria knows that co-founder Warren Feek (1953–2024) would have felt deep pride in The CI Global's Africa-led direction.
 
We honour the team and partners who sustained The CI for decades. Meanwhile, La Iniciativa de Comunicación (CILA) continues independently at cila.comminitcila.com and is linked with The CI Global site.

Fall Intern, Washington Global Health Alliance

Washington Global Health Alliance (WGHA) works to improve health conditions worldwide by strengthening the state of Washington (United States)'s community of public and private organizations, developing a dynamic workforce, and helping partners resolve global health issues.

This internship provides a student with the opportunity to gain exposure to the inner-workings of collaboration among the global health community. The Intern will support the Washington Global Health Alliance by acting as a key, professional member of the team while helping to execute WGHA events, meetings, research, content development for the website, and organization of WGHA information systems.

Application Info

This opportunity is open to students who will be actively enrolled in a program of study during the Fall 2010 quarter/semester. Individuals who are not current students are not eligible to apply. In addition, this internship is contingent upon the successful candidate being able to provide documentation of identity and eligibility to participate in paid or unpaid practical training within the United States.
