RTK - Namibia Profile
The RTK initiative will increase the capacity of local organisations and youth in the areas of participatory research and communication strategy development, implementation, and evaluation. RTK will pay particular attention to the issue of gender relations and to the right of adolescents to access vital information, services, and networks that can support them in making healthy choices. With this initiative, UNICEF hopes to build on growing commitment to address the rights of adolescents.
RTK will be integrated into the Communication for an Enabling Environment project, which is conducted in partnership with the University of Namibia (UNAM). The National Youth Council (NYC), with technical support from the Directorate of Youth Development (DYD), will be the coordinating body to ensure participation of young people. It is envisioned that lessons learned from My Future is My Choice will contribute to bettering the implementation of communication activities in Namibia.
