After nearly 28 years, The Communication Initiative (The CI) Global is entering a new chapter. Following a period of transition, the global website has been transferred to the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) in South Africa, where it will be administered by the Social and Behaviour Change Communication Division. Wits' commitment to social change and justice makes it a trusted steward for The CI's legacy and future.
 
Co-founder Victoria Martin is pleased to see this work continue under Wits' leadership. Victoria knows that co-founder Warren Feek (1953–2024) would have felt deep pride in The CI Global's Africa-led direction.
 
We honour the team and partners who sustained The CI for decades. Meanwhile, La Iniciativa de Comunicación (CILA) continues independently at cila.comminitcila.com and is linked with The CI Global site.

Advocacy Flexi Fund: Sexual Health & Rights

The International Planned Parenthood Federation is calling for applications for the funding of advocacy activities on any of the articles of IPPF’s Declaration of Sexual Rights [PDF format].

This round of the Advocacy Flexi Fund will provide grants of between US$5,000 and US$10,000 and will cover up to 90 percent of the cost of the advocacy activity(s) related to promoting, defending, and advancing sexual rights. The grantee must contribute a minimum of 10 percent. The grant will cover activities over a period of one to four months starting in August 2010. The grant will not cover capital costs such as salaries, computers, etc. A maximum of 5 percent of the grant can cover overhead costs.

Sir,
No doubt the concerned page is highly beneficilal for human community. This type of programmes always give a peculiar direction to all human being. Due to religious overlapping the scientific approach always neglected by some orthodox people. They give a negativism to society and this type of attitude disturb the actual rotation of circle. So when there is a movement all people think about it and they will give a special remark after thinking deeply.
