AI Human Health Training

This PowerPoint presentation is one of three training documents designed to be used with the training manual Strengthening Training Outreach and Prevention for the ongoing Avian Influenza (STOP AI). The training documents, all PowerPoint presentations, include: AI Animal Health Training; AI Human Health Training; and AI Communication Skills Training, and are included on a CD which accompanies the STOP AI training manual.

This PowerPoint presentation was presented by Truong Huang Hong, the Health Training and Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Coordinator for CARE International in Vietnam. The presentation provides details and information on avian flu in humans, including sources of infection, transmission routes, symptoms of infection, treatment and prevention measures.

According to the presentation, some of the people most susceptible to bird flu infection include poultry farmers, veterinarians, animal health workers, children and people who purchase, transport or sell poultry.
