Global Education Partnership (GEP)

The organisation has a 12-week course for the youth called the Entrepreneurship and Employment Training Programme (EETP). The programme is based on a 5-module, experiential learning approach that integrates ICT training into a comprehensive course that focuses on entrepreneurship and work readiness skills. Its emphasis is on teaching practical skills through world application. Over the 12 weeks, students learn from entrepreneurship modules that focus on building basic, but important, business development skills, such as costing goods sold, calculating profit and loss, marketing, business plan development, and inculcating social responsibility.
Through the work readiness modules, students improve office-related skills such as good communication, interviewing techniques, resume writing, goal setting and time management. According to organisers, what really sets the programme apart from others is that ICT training is woven into both components of the course.
GEP has a computer lab which has 20 computers. The computers are used to help students master software programmes, such as MS Word, Excel, Access, and PageMaker in order to support their future entrepreneurial or office-related endeavours. They are also taught how to prepare financial spreadsheets, write business plans and resumes, and use the internet as a communication and research tool.
